The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing for the NEET UG 2026 exam, set to take place on May 3, with an expected participation of over 24 lakh candidates. A key aspect of the exam day process is the biometric verification, which aims to enhance security and prevent impersonation. However, the NTA acknowledges that candidates may encounter issues with biometric data capture due to various factors, including technical malfunctions or physical limitations. In such cases, candidates will still be allowed entry into the examination hall by submitting a written undertaking, the format of which will be provided on-site. Importantly, once inside the exam hall, candidates will not be disturbed for biometric verification during the exam hours, which run from 2 pm to 5 pm, or until 6 pm for candidates with disabilities (PwD). The NTA encourages candidates to stay calm and follow the instructions of exam officials in case of any biometric verification issues.
