On May 10, Deepak Ashok Kshirsagar, a 38-year-old employee of the Pune Municipal Corporation's water supply department, was murdered in Ambegaon, Maharashtra. The incident occurred around 9.15 PM near Indrayani Arch. Preliminary investigations revealed that Kshirsagar was allegedly involved in an extramarital affair with a married woman, leading to tensions with her family. Police believe the woman's son attacked Kshirsagar with a sharp weapon, resulting in fatal injuries. Authorities have detained Siddharth Harture and Rushikesh Gaikwad for questioning. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and a murder case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
