On May 10, 2023, Manali Surendra Sukhadare, a 42-year-old beautician from Mira Road, was allegedly stabbed to death in Andheri West, Mumbai. The accused, Amol Mahare, was known to Sukhadare and had previously threatened her. According to police reports, Sukhadare was en route to her sister-in-law's home in Amboli when she was attacked. Her sister-in-law, Bharati Sawant, reported that Sukhadare had informed her about a work trip planned for May 8 but failed to arrive that night. Concerned, Sawant attempted to contact her, only to be informed by a neighbor that Sukhadare had been brutally assaulted. Upon arrival, Sawant found Sukhadare in critical condition, and despite being rushed to Cooper Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries. The police discovered a blood-stained knife at the scene and noted multiple injuries on the victim's body. During the investigation, Sukhadare's daughter revealed that Mahare had threatened her mother after a recent argument. The police arrested Mahare in Ghatkopar West while he was allegedly attempting to flee. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the murder case.
