In a dramatic police operation in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, a woman was arrested for theft after allegedly using aggressive dogs, including a Pitbull and an American Bully, to fortify her home against law enforcement. The operation was initiated following a complaint from Vijay Pal Gupta, who reported that his domestic worker had stolen gold jewelry and cash from his residence on April 19. Investigators tracked the suspect through CCTV footage and technical surveillance, leading to the discovery of her hiding beneath a quilt when police entered the home. During the raid, officers recovered ₹1 lakh (approximately $1,200 USD) in cash. Authorities revealed that the woman had pledged stolen jewelry as collateral for loans from at least 15 financial institutions, with around 2 kg of gold currently held by these companies.
