The victims, residents of Ashok Nagar, were returning home after attending an IPL match at Arun Jaitley Stadium. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing the truck continuing to drive without stopping after hitting the motorcycle. Both victims were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The footage, timestamped at 10:29 pm, shows the truck making a left turn onto Mahadev Road and colliding with the motorcycle. Investigators confirmed that the truck and motorcycle were not speeding. The police arrived shortly after the incident but found that the truck had already left the scene. The truck was later located and seized in the Khadar area of Shakarpur. A case of causing death by negligence and rash driving has been registered, and the driver, identified as being in his mid-20s, is currently at large.
