In a tragic incident in Dankaur, Greater Noida, a seven-year-old nursery student was killed after being hit by her school bus on Thursday. The child was crossing the road after being dropped off when the bus driver accelerated and struck her. Witnesses, including other children who had exited the bus, reported that while they crossed from the back, the victim moved to the front side due to the absence of a helper on board. The driver fled the scene, leaving the remaining children inside the bus. Police have registered a case of rash driving and causing death by negligence against the driver, who subsequently abandoned the bus behind the school before escaping. Investigations are ongoing, including why no helper was present during the drop-off. The girl was taken to a hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
