Nearly a week after the tragic fire in Vivek Vihar, East Delhi, that resulted in the deaths of nine members of the Jain family, survivor Naveen Jain, aged 48, has been moved out of the intensive care unit (ICU) at Safdarjung Hospital. Jain suffered over 30% burns on his face and upper body and was initially admitted to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital on May 3 before being transferred for specialized care. Hospital officials report that he is stable but remains at high risk for infection. His family is considering transferring him to a private hospital for better recovery options, especially after the loss of his wife, Shikha Jain, aged 43. Jain's daughters, Priyal Jain, 17, and Rakshita Jain, 22, survived the fire by jumping from the balcony to escape the flames, sustaining only minor injuries. The family is focused on ensuring Naveen's physical and mental recovery following this devastating incident.
