Disney has announced several new features for its streaming platforms, Disney+ and Hulu, as part of their ongoing integration. Starting today, Hulu subscribers can link their profiles to Disney+, allowing them to access their watch history, watchlist, and personalized recommendations seamlessly. Additionally, Hulu users can now stream all Hulu content through the Disney+ app without needing a separate Disney+ account, facilitated by a unified MyDisney login. The update also introduces new avatars from Hulu, which can be used in the Disney+ app, complementing existing Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars-themed avatars. Looking ahead, Disney plans to introduce a 'Live Guide' feature that will help users easily find live content, such as ABC News and ESPN streams. While these changes suggest a closer integration of the two platforms, Disney has confirmed that there are currently no plans to phase out the Hulu app, although further Hulu features will eventually be added to Disney+.
