The app functions as an 'Electronic Employment Exchange,' enabling workers to register their skills and experience in various trades, such as masonry, plumbing, and electrical work. Employers can also post job requirements and communicate directly with potential hires. The app has already integrated data from approximately 75,000 registered workers and is designed to ensure convenience, dignity, and employment security for users. It is available for free on both Android and Apple devices. The initiative is expected to streamline the hiring process for employers while providing workers with easy access to job opportunities from the comfort of their homes. The Labour Department plans to assist workers in installing the app, ensuring widespread adoption across the state.
