The accident occurred between 1:30 am and 2 am on the Chotila-Rajkot National Highway, according to Surendranagar Deputy Superintendent of Police SS Bhadoriya. The bus, traveling from Ahmedabad to Jamnagar, crashed into the tanker after its driver suddenly applied the brakes. Of the 27 people on board, including 26 passengers and the driver, four lost their lives, while 10 others suffered burns. Thirteen passengers managed to escape or were rescued from the burning vehicle. The deceased, believed to include a woman and three men, were so badly burned that identification will require DNA analysis.
