The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Subhash Yadav, an inspector in the Anti-Narcotics Cell in Dwarka district, Delhi, for allegedly soliciting a bribe from a woman to prevent her from being implicated in a fabricated narcotics case. The incident began when a five-member team from the Anti-Narcotics Cell reportedly visited the woman’s home on April 20, where they allegedly planted narcotics and threatened to charge her. Constable Ajay, who was also part of the operation, was arrested earlier, and cash was found on him. Yadav has been remanded to one day of police custody following his arrest on Monday, and investigations are ongoing to trace the money trail and identify other individuals involved in the corruption case.
