Air India is implementing significant reductions in its international flight schedule until August 2026, driven by ongoing airspace restrictions and soaring jet fuel prices, which impact the commercial viability of certain routes. The airline aims to enhance reliability and minimize last-minute cancellations. Currently, Air India operates over 1,200 international flights monthly, maintaining a robust presence with 33 flights to North America, 47 flights to Europe, 57 flights to the UK, and 158 flights to the Far East and Southeast Asia. Key changes include the suspension of the Delhi-Chicago route and reduced frequencies on several routes, such as Delhi-San Francisco and Delhi-Paris. Passengers whose flights are affected have three options: switch to another Air India flight without extra charges, change their travel date for free, or receive a full refund if the new schedule is unsuitable. The adjustments reflect Air India's commitment to providing a dependable travel experience amid challenging operational conditions.
