In a remarkable act of vigilance, Parul Desai, a resident of Tapasvi Apartments in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, intervened to save her elderly neighbors, Rita and Pankaj Desai, from a digital scam that had them under pressure for over 48 hours. The couple was being manipulated by fraudsters who were attempting to access their savings of ₹23 lakh. Concerned about her neighbor's distressed demeanor, Parul forced her way into their home after receiving a call from their daughter, Purvi, who sensed something was amiss. Upon entering, Parul discovered that the couple was on a call with the scammers and immediately took action to protect them. She brought them to the Maninagar police station, where Inspector J P Jadeja confirmed that the couple was under severe mental pressure. Thanks to Parul's quick thinking, the couple was saved from a potentially devastating financial loss, and the local police commended her for her presence of mind.
