The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) schools have reported a significant improvement in their Class XII board examination results for this year, with the overall pass percentage climbing to 92.26%, up from 88.12% last year. A total of 5,179 students, comprising 2,257 boys and 2,922 girls, took the state board exams, and 4,778 of them successfully passed. Notably, the pass percentage for girls was 94.11%, surpassing the boys' rate of 89.85%. Among the students, 173 achieved centum scores in subjects such as computer applications and accountancy. The top-performing school was Pulla Avenue Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School, scoring 593 out of 600, followed by Perambur MH Road Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School with 586 marks. Additionally, Nungambakkam Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School and CIT Nagar Chennai Higher Secondary School both recorded 100% pass rates.
