In Ludhiana, Punjab, India, two men identified as Karan Singh and Gagandeep Singh were arrested for allegedly attacking a police officer during a routine checking drive on Budhewal Road. The incident occurred when the police signalled their scooter to stop due to suspicious behavior. Instead of complying, the suspects attempted to flee, leading to an altercation where the pillion rider attacked Head Constable Dalvir Singh with a sharp weapon, injuring him severely. The officer was promptly taken to a private hospital for treatment. An FIR has been filed against the accused under various sections of the law, including attempts to murder and assaulting a public servant. The police are continuing their investigation to determine if the suspects are linked to other criminal activities.
