Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced plans for a 240-acre integrated market in Koheda, set to be completed in two years at a cost exceeding ₹2,400 crore. This initiative aims to address the current vegetable supply shortage in Hyderabad, as the state has been importing vegetables like coriander from neighboring regions. Revanth urged farmers to diversify their crops beyond paddy and cotton, and he promised that the market would feature facilities for fruits, vegetables, and non-vegetarian products, with initial vegetable facilities operational within six months. He criticized the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government for hindering development and expressed his commitment to advancing projects like the Regional Ring Road and airport developments. Revanth also highlighted the significance of Ranga Reddy district, which contributes 60% of the state's registration revenue, to fund welfare schemes across Telangana. He stressed the importance of maintaining positive relations with the central government to secure necessary funding and approvals for state projects.
