In Patna district, Bihar, a spice trader named Pintu Kumar was shot dead during a power outage late at night. According to police officials, unidentified assailants opened fire on him, resulting in his immediate death. Additional Superintendent of Police Raj Kishore Singh confirmed that the exact number of bullet wounds would be determined after a post-mortem examination. Law enforcement arrived at the scene promptly and initiated an investigation, sending Kumar's body for a post-mortem. Forensic teams have also been deployed to gather evidence regarding the circumstances of the murder. In a related development, police arrested three suspects, Avdesh Sahu, Pappu Rai, and Deepak Kumar, in the Bihta area after a gunfight.
