Jashanpreet Singh, a 27-year-old man of Indian origin and founder of the 'Punjabi Devils' motorcycle gang based in Stockton, California, was sentenced to five years and four months in prison for unlawful dealing of firearms and possession of a machine gun. The sentencing took place on Monday by US District Judge Dale Drozd. Singh attempted to sell several weapons, including a short-barreled rifle and three assault weapons, to an undercover officer in June 2022. Following a search of his residence, law enforcement found additional firearms, a machine gun, and explosives including a hand grenade and a military electronic-capped claymore mine, which were destroyed by the bomb team. Initially facing state charges, Singh failed to appear in court in July 2025, leading to a bench warrant for his arrest. He was later apprehended at San Francisco International Airport while attempting to flee to India.
