The East Singhbhum district in Jharkhand, India, has announced that 4,231 candidates will participate in the NEET (UG)-2026 exam on May 3, 2026, at eight designated centers. The centers include notable institutions such as Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial College and Jamshedpur Women’s University. District Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan emphasized adherence to National Testing Agency (NTA) guidelines, stating that entry for candidates will be allowed between 11 am and 1:30 pm, with the exam starting at 2 pm. To ensure a fair examination process, only government officials will serve as invigilators, and measures such as candidate frisking and videography of the exam will be implemented. In Ranchi, approximately 10,000 candidates are expected to take the exam across 21 centers, with similar security protocols in place. Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri confirmed that a static action force will be deployed at all centers to maintain order and that all facilities will be reviewed to ensure readiness for the examination day.
