The South Brunswick Township Police Department in New Jersey is accepting applications for its 2026 Youth Police Academy, a free summer program designed for students entering sixth grade in September. The academy will take place at the police department's headquarters at 540 Ridge Road and will run over two sessions: July 13-17 and July 20-24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The program is limited to 30 students per session and offers hands-on training in areas such as crime scene investigation, arrest procedures, motor vehicle stops, fire safety, and basic first aid. Participants will receive a police-issued uniform and enjoy daily activities, group exercises, and a pizza lunch on the final day, culminating in a graduation ceremony for families.
