In the fourth quarter of FY26, Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), part of the Vedanta group, reported a 2% increase in mined metal production, reaching 315,000 tonnes. Refined metal output also rose by 5%, totaling 282,000 tonnes. Despite these gains, the company's silver production experienced a slight decline of 0.2%, dropping to 176 tonnes from 177 tonnes in the same quarter last year. Additionally, HZL's wind power generation decreased by 11%, producing 56 million units compared to 63 million units in the previous year. HZL is recognized as the world's largest integrated zinc producer and ranks among the top five silver producers globally, supplying to over 40 countries and maintaining a 75% market share in India's primary zinc market.
