A police encounter in the Sureer area of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on May 7 resulted in the deaths of two wanted criminals, Rajendra and Pappu alias Dharmveer. The encounter occurred after police tracked the suspects following a robbery incident where five men entered a local residence. The local police, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar, formed specialized teams to investigate the gang. During the encounter, both suspects were injured and later pronounced dead at a district hospital. They had long criminal histories and were part of a gang involved in multiple robberies.
