A police encounter in Bandhwari, Gurugram, resulted in the death of one of two shooters arrested for firing outside the house of singer Rahul Fazilpuria's event manager, Saurabh Yadav, on May 2. The deceased was identified as an alleged sharpshooter connected to a fugitive gangster with whom Fazilpuria had financial disputes. The police operation aimed at recovering weapons used in the shooting led to the two accused attacking officers and attempting to flee custody. In the ensuing confrontation, both shooters were injured, with one later declared dead. The other shooter is currently hospitalized. The attack was reportedly premeditated, as Yadav had received death threats prior to the incident. A police constable, Kulbir, who was present during the incident, sustained injuries but has since been treated and discharged.
