Security forces in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, have successfully uncovered a substantial cache of explosives and weapons from a Maoist bunker during a search operation. The operation, conducted in the Patelpara hill area of Doditumnar village under the Gangaloor police station, was prompted by specific intelligence regarding Maoist activities in the forested region. The forces recovered various items, including two Honda generators, two lathe machines, and a country-made BGL launcher. The equipment is believed to have been used for repairing weapons and preparing explosives. This discovery is part of a broader strategy by security forces to intensify anti-Maoist operations in Bijapur and neighboring districts, aiming to locate Maoist hideouts and arms caches. Legal proceedings are set to follow the recovery of these materials.
