In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Karnataka government, under Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, transferred several senior IAS and IPS officers. Anjum Parvez, a 1994-batch IAS officer, has been reassigned as the Additional Chief Secretary in the forest, environment, and ecology department. Pronab Mohanty, previously the Director General of Police for Internal Security, will now lead the Karnataka Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Munish Moudgil, a 1998-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister for Programme and Project Implementation, a newly created role aimed at executing high-priority projects. Other notable transfers include Deepa Cholan moving to the transport department and Dr Venkatesh M V becoming the registrar for cooperative societies in Bengaluru. Additionally, Chandragupta has been appointed Inspector General of Police, Intelligence, replacing Labhu Ram. These changes mark the first major overhaul of the bureaucratic structure since Shivakumar assumed office.
