The State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in Mohali, Punjab, India, arrested two men, Parveen Kumar and Harish Kumar, in connection with an illegal arms supply network. Following a tip-off, police raided Kumar's residence in Banur, recovering a .32 bore pistol, one magazine, and five live cartridges. Parveen Kumar had previously been declared a proclaimed offender in a 2018 robbery case. During interrogation, he implicated Harish Kumar, an international Kabaddi player who has represented Team Italy. Police arrested Harish Kumar in Hoshiarpur and recovered two 9mm Glock pistols from him. Investigators believe the weapons were sent by Rajesh Kumar, a Hoshiarpur native living in Italy, who has multiple criminal cases against him. Both arrested individuals were presented in court and remanded to three days of police custody for further investigation into the arms supply network.
