Ravi Malik, an associate of the notorious Kala Jathedi-Sampat Nehra gang, was arrested by the Delhi Police in Rohini after evading capture for nearly eight years. Malik was wanted for an attempted murder and armed robbery case dating back to 2012. Initially arrested in connection with the case, he was granted bail but became a proclaimed offender in 2018 after failing to appear in court. His criminal career began in 2006 following a property dispute, leading to involvement in serious offenses, including murder and robbery. Malik was declared a bad character by the Samaipur Badli police station, and police had announced rewards totaling ₹1.5 lakh for his capture. His criminal activities continued even while on the run, including a murder linked to a rival gang in 2017 and a robbery in 2018. Malik was known to frequently change locations to evade capture, even sustaining injuries during an encounter in Meerut.
