On Sunday morning, three minor cousins tragically drowned in a water-filled pit at a brick kiln in Manpur village, located in Kushinagar district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The victims, identified as Abhay (3), Ananya (7), and Anushka (3), were children of laborers from Chhattisgarh working at the kiln. They fell into a deep pit dug for soil extraction while playing near it. Fortunately, another girl who fell into the pit was able to escape and alert nearby family members. Despite being rushed to the Community Health Centre in Kasya, the children were pronounced dead upon arrival. The incident has caused widespread grief among the workers at the brick kiln.
