Adams stated that they first connected on Instagram in December 2022 while Diggs was with the Buffalo Bills, and their relationship evolved as she later moved into his home in Dedham, Massachusetts, to work as his private chef for $2,000 per week. Diggs is facing serious legal issues, including a felony strangulation charge and a misdemeanor assault and battery charge stemming from an incident on December 2, 2025, where Adams alleges he slapped her and put her in a headlock during a dispute over unpaid wages. Diggs has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Following a season with the New England Patriots, he was released in March and is currently a free agent.
