In a significant initiative to enhance access to digital identity services, two new Aadhaar Seva Kendras were inaugurated in Bokaro and Giridih districts of Jharkhand, India. The center in Bokaro is strategically located at Bhagwati Colony in the Chas municipal area, close to Neelam Hospital. This facility aims to alleviate the burden on residents who previously had to travel long distances for Aadhaar-related services. Bokaro District Collector Ajay Nath Jha highlighted that the center will provide a comprehensive range of Aadhaar services, including new enrolments, updates to personal information such as name and address, and biometric corrections. Additionally, it will support children's enrolment and offer Aadhaar printouts and downloads. In Giridih, a similar facility has been established near the old bridge area, directed by District Collector Ramniwas Yadav. This center is designed to handle over 200 applications daily and is staffed with trained personnel. Services available at the Giridih center include biometric updates, mobile number linking, and corrections to personal details, ensuring timely and transparent Aadhaar services at the grassroots level.
