OC Transpo has announced that parts of O-Train Line 2 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, will be offline this Saturday and Sunday morning due to maintenance work on track switches. The service disruption is scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, during which trains will operate between Limebank and Greenboro stations, with R2 bus services running between South Keys and Bayview. On Sunday, from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., trains will run between Limebank and Carleton, while R2 buses will connect Carleton and Bayview. Buses will operate approximately every 12 minutes. Troy Charter, Director of Transit Service Delivery and Rail Operations, explained that the maintenance is intended to reduce noise when trains pass over the switches, with spring being the ideal time for such adjustments. Additionally, inspections will be conducted to minimize disruption. Importantly, there will be no impact on Line 4 service between South Keys Station and the airport.
