Mashkoor Ahmed, a government school teacher from Beigpora Singhpora in Chatroo, Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, has been arrested for allegedly harboring members of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist group. His arrest was made under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and other relevant laws after police investigations linked him to providing logistical support to terrorists. The case is connected to a February 4, 2026, encounter that resulted in the death of a Pakistani terrorist named Adil.
