The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation is taking action against AIMIM corporator Matin Patel, who allegedly provided shelter to Nida Khan, an accused in the Nashik TCS sexual harassment case. Mayor Sameer Rajurkar issued a show-cause notice demanding proof of the legality of Patel's properties, including the one where Khan reportedly stayed. If Patel fails to respond satisfactorily by the deadline, his properties may face demolition, and he could lose his corporator position under the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act. Maharashtra Minister Sanjay Shirsat has claimed that Patel was pressured by AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel to harbor Khan, who is accused of coercing female employees at the TCS unit in Nashik into religious practices. The ongoing investigation by a Special Investigation Team has already led to eight arrests in connection with allegations of harassment and forced religious conversion at the TCS unit.
