Sanjay Shirsat, a minister from the Shiv Sena party in Maharashtra, has accused Imtiaz Jaleel, an All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader, of pressuring a corporator to provide shelter to Nida Khan, who is implicated in a sexual harassment and religious coercion case involving the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) unit in Nashik. Shirsat claims that Khan was hiding in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for over a month, allegedly with the help of AIMIM corporator Matin Patel. Following her apprehension, Shirsat has urged Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to ensure that those who aided Khan are investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) currently examining multiple harassment cases at TCS. The allegations against Khan include pressuring female employees to conform to Islamic practices and coercing them regarding their dietary choices. Jaleel has refuted Shirsat's claims, asserting that he will not engage with the accusations made against him.
