On Friday night, outside Dashmesh Hospital in Zirakpur, Punjab, India, a group of men attacked three individuals, leading to serious injuries for one man, Sandeep Kumar, and minor injuries for his companions, Sonu and Mahesh. The assailants, including an identified individual named Mukka, reportedly attacked the trio with a kirpan and wooden sticks, stemming from a suspected monetary dispute. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM when the three men were waiting for a food delivery. Following the assault, Sandeep was initially taken to a local civil hospital and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh for further treatment. The police have registered a case against Mukka and 10 unidentified individuals under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including unlawful assembly and rioting while armed. Investigating officer ASI Major Singh stated that efforts are ongoing to trace the unidentified suspects, with CCTV footage being reviewed for leads.
