Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Annual Business Summit 2026 that the state has secured investment proposals totaling ₹50 trillion since 2017. He emphasized that UP is on track to become a $1 trillion economy by 2029-30, attributing this growth to improved law enforcement and infrastructure. Adityanath highlighted that his government has created a 75,000-acre land bank and improved connectivity through new expressways and airports. The manufacturing sector has flourished, with UP now accounting for 55% of India's electronic component manufacturing. Additionally, 30 million jobs have been created through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). CII President Rajiv Memani noted that UP contributes 9% to India's GDP and has maintained a fiscal deficit of 2.9% without imposing new taxes. The state recorded a revenue surplus of ₹37,000 crore in FY25, projected to increase to ₹80,000 crore in FY26.
