On Monday, two fire incidents were reported in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, with no casualties. The first incident occurred around 4:30 AM in Sector 27, where a high-tension power line sparked a fire after coming into contact with a palm tree, resulting in damage to two parked cars. Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Chaubey indicated that the fire was extinguished within half an hour. Residents expressed frustration over the Noida authority's lack of action regarding complaints about tree maintenance near power lines. In response, Anand Mohan Singh, deputy director of horticulture for the Noida authority, stated they were unaware of any such complaints. The second fire broke out at 2:53 PM in a three-storey building in Sector 4, reportedly due to renovation work. Firefighters had to break windows for ventilation and managed to control the blaze within one hour.
