Adani Power reported a 64% increase in net profit to ₹4,271.4 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2026, compared to ₹2,599.23 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations was nearly flat at ₹14,223.09 crore, slightly down from ₹14,237.40 crore a year prior. The company's EBITDA rose 27% year-on-year to ₹6,498 crore, driven by prior-period income recognition. However, the continuing EBITDA, which better reflects core operations, grew at a more modest 9.3% to ₹5,573 crore. The EBITDA margin decreased slightly to 33.27% from 33.80% a year ago. Despite a 1.6% increase in India's total electricity consumption to 422 billion units, mixed demand trends were observed, with merchant power sales volumes falling to 5.2 billion units from 5.6 billion units due to a 12% drop in average market clearing prices. Total power sales volumes, however, increased to 27.2 billion units from 26.4 billion units, supported by operational asset ramp-up and tied-up capacities.
