More than 100,000 students have applied for admission to CM Shri schools in Delhi for classes 6, 9, and 11 for the 2026-27 academic session. The admissions process is being expedited to ensure completion by the end of April, with entrance tests for classes 6 and 9 already conducted.

In the 2026-27 academic session, over 100,000 students have applied for admission to CM Shri schools in Delhi, with around 70,000 seeking seats in classes 6 and 9, and more than 30,000 for class 11. According to the Directorate of Education (DoE), there are approximately 4,450 seats available for class 6 and 1,540 seats for class 9. The admissions process was initially delayed due to website rework but is now being fast-tracked to complete by the end of April. Entrance tests for classes 6 and 9 took place on April 13, with results to be declared on April 30. For class 11, the entrance test is set for May 7, with results expected by May 25. The Delhi government launched 75 CM Shri schools in 2025-26, which feature entrance test-based admissions.
