The Rashtraneeti programme has been fully rolled out for the 2026-27 academic session in Delhi government schools, aiming to enhance civic education among students. This initiative, launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government, encompasses nine key themes such as “Leadership and Active Citizenship,” “Bharat@2047,” and environmental sustainability. The curriculum includes lessons on the responsible use of social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook, as well as the importance of millets and water management. The programme is designed for students from nursery to Class 12, with activities tailored to different age groups. The education department has confirmed that this comprehensive curriculum will continue to be implemented in all government schools, replacing previous schemes from the Aam Aadmi Party-led government. Themes introduced last year, including gender sensitization and the history of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will also be part of this year's curriculum, highlighting contributions from various historical figures.
