A federal judge has released a purported suicide note written by Jeffrey Epstein, which had been sealed for years. The note, described by Epstein's cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione, expresses a defiant attitude, stating, “They investigated me for months — FOUND NOTHING!!!” Epstein, who was 66 at the time of his death, was found unresponsive in July 2019, shortly after which he died in the now-closed Metropolitan Correctional Center in lower Manhattan. The note was made public following a petition from The New York Times, which had sought access to the document amidst the ongoing investigations surrounding Epstein's criminal activities. While the Justice Department has released numerous files related to Epstein, this particular note had remained undisclosed until now. Tartaglione's lawyers have authenticated the note, but the process of how they did so has not been explained.
