The Ahmedabad district administration has made comprehensive arrangements for the local body elections, which include the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, taluka panchayats, and local municipalities. A total of 28 electronic voting machine (EVM) dispatch centres have been established, comprising 16 for the AMC, nine for district and taluka panchayats, and three for municipalities. Voting will take place at 4,257 polling stations in the AMC jurisdiction, 1,125 stations in the district and taluka panchayats, and 132 stations for the municipalities. To handle the anticipated voter turnout, the administration has mobilized over 30,000 personnel, including more than 27,000 polling staff. District collector Sujit Kumar stated that all preparations are complete to ensure voters can cast their votes in a free and peaceful environment.
