The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a detailed 7,500-page chargesheet to a special court in Patiala House, New Delhi, against 10 individuals involved in the car bomb explosion near the Red Fort on November 10, 2025. The attack, which utilized a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED), resulted in 11 fatalities and numerous injuries, causing extensive property damage. The chargesheet identifies Dr. Umer Un Nabi, a former assistant professor at Al-Falah University in Faridabad, as the primary perpetrator who died in the explosion. While charges against him are proposed to be abated due to his death, the NIA has detailed the roles of nine other conspirators, including five medical professionals who have exploited their academic backgrounds for terror activities. The investigation revealed that the group had reformed as “AGuH Interim” during a secret meeting in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir in 2022, following a failed migration attempt to Afghanistan via Turkey. They initiated “Operation Heavenly Hind,” a conspiracy aimed at destabilizing the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. The NIA's forensic investigation uncovered a complex logistics network, with the group manufacturing Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP) and experimenting with advanced weaponry, including rocket and drone-mounted explosives. So far, 11 arrests have been made, while the NIA continues to search for other absconders linked to the case.
