Srinagar Police has attached properties worth ₹2 crore under the NDPS Act as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan. This move targets individuals involved in drug trafficking, with significant assets seized and numerous arrests made in recent weeks.

In a significant escalation of its anti-drug efforts, the Srinagar Police has attached multiple immovable properties valued at around ₹2 crore under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This action is part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, targeting individuals linked to narcotics activities. Among the properties seized are a two-storeyed house worth approximately ₹1.5 crore belonging to Mudasir Ahmad Pir, and another residential house worth ₹50 lakh owned by Shafiq Ahmad Khawaja. The police confirmed that these assets were acquired through proceeds from illegal drug trade, following due legal processes. Over the past 50 days, authorities have registered 823 FIRs and arrested 905 individuals involved in drug trafficking, while also suspending 460 driving licenses and proposing the cancellation of passports for suspected smugglers. The Jammu and Kashmir Police continues to intensify its efforts to dismantle the financial networks supporting drug trafficking in the region.
