A recent outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza, commonly known as bird flu, has been confirmed in Nandurbar district, Maharashtra, specifically affecting three poultry farms in Navapur tehsil. In response to the outbreak, district collector Mittali Sethi has ordered the culling of approximately 140,000 birds from the affected farms and an additional three farms within a 1 km radius.
