Appointed to this prestigious role earlier this week, Lavanya has had a remarkable journey in the insurance industry, starting as a branch manager in Vadakara, Kozhikode, in 1991. After relocating to Mumbai in 1993, she returned to Kozhikode in 2003, where she continued to rise through the ranks. With a workforce of approximately 10,000 employees and 1,600 offices nationwide, New India Assurance has a significant presence in the country. Lavanya currently also serves as CMD of the Agriculture Insurance Company of India and plans to move to Mumbai to fulfill her new responsibilities. Despite her busy career, she remains passionate about the arts, especially traditional dance forms like Kathakali and Mohiniyattam. Lavanya's family background is rooted in cultural engagement, with her late father being actively involved in various cultural organizations in Kozhikode.
