The 'Commerce Educators’ Conclave 2026 – Career Udaan for Punjab' took place at the Punjab School Education Board auditorium in Mohali, bringing together educators to enhance commerce education. Organized by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the event was part of a memorandum of understanding signed in December 2025. PSEB Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh highlighted the necessity of aligning commerce education with industry requirements and fostering professional skills among students. He noted that commerce is not just an academic subject but a way of life that cultivates essential skills like discipline and decision-making.

ICAI's initiatives, such as 'Project Vanijya' and 'Project Saptarishi', were discussed to strengthen commerce education and raise awareness of professional opportunities. 'Project Vanijya' aims to introduce commerce education from Class VI, while 'Project Saptarishi' focuses on training educators and providing career counselling. The conclave is the first in a series of sessions aimed at empowering educators and improving career prospects for Punjab's youth. The event concluded with insights into the evolving landscape of accountancy and finance, enabling educators to guide students effectively.
