On Monday, fresh snowfall closed the Mughal road, which connects Shopian in south Kashmir to Poonch district in Jammu, causing many vehicles to become stranded near Pir ki Gali. Authorities, including police and the Border Roads Organisation, have intervened to rescue those trapped. Communication in the area has been challenging due to the weather.
