On Monday, Gurugram Police demolished an alleged illegal liquor operation in Om Vihar Phase-1, Haryana, claiming the site was being used for both dairy-related activities and the storage and sale of illicit liquor. The accused, a resident of Nathupur, has six cases registered against him under the Excise Act. Officials reported that approximately 200 square yards of land had been encroached upon and converted into an unauthorized dairy structure without the necessary permissions. The demolition was executed using earthmovers during a coordinated operation led by the Palam Vihar crime branch, with support from the district administration. Adequate security was deployed to ensure the operation proceeded without incident. This action is part of a larger initiative by law enforcement to crack down on repeat offenders and illegal constructions throughout Gurugram, with agencies actively identifying properties linked to criminal activity.
