Traders in Sector 29, a prominent commercial hub in Gurugram, Haryana, India, are voicing concerns over declining business due to poor infrastructure. Issues such as overflowing sewage, bad road conditions, and rampant garbage dumping are driving customers away. Business owner Amit Thakran highlighted that the area, once a popular destination for leisure, is losing its appeal as people seek alternatives for their weekends. Concerns include an inadequate sewage system that causes flooding during monsoon rains and vacant plots that have become dumping grounds for construction waste. In response to these issues, a delegation from the Sector 29 market Resident Welfare Association (RWA) met with Anupama Malik, an estate officer with the Haryana Shahari Awas Pradhikaran (HSVP), seeking urgent improvements. Malik assured that a tender for cleaning and maintenance will be issued soon, and road recarpeting has already begun. However, traders emphasize the need for expedited action to restore the sector's vibrancy.
